Common Issues

App Won’t Open / Crashes on Launch

  1. Restart the app – Close it fully and reopen.
  2. Restart your device – A simple restart can resolve many issues.
  3. Check for updates – Ensure you have the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.
  4. Reinstall the app – If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall. Your subscription will stay active and any data you’ve added will resync once the app is installed.

If the app continues to crash, please contact support with your device model and OS version.


App Drains Battery Quickly

GPS and screen use are the main causes of battery drain. To extend battery life:

  • Dim your screen brightness.
  • Use a power bank when on long trips or keep your phone plugged into your car
  • On Android, ensure the app is not being restricted by battery optimisation (add it to the battery optimisation whitelist).

App Uses a Lot of Storage

Remove any offline maps that you no longer use.


GPS Not Working

  1. On iOS, go to SettingsPrivacy & SecurityLocation ServicesOverland Navigator and set to While Using the App or Always.

  2. On Android, go to SettingsLocation and ensure location is enabled. Tap on App permissionsOverland NavigatorAllow all the time.

  3. Ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky for best GPS accuracy.

  4. Try toggling Airplane Mode on and off to reset the GPS receiver.
