Importing & Exporting Tracks

Overland Navigator supports importing tracks from other apps and exporting your tracks for use in other software.

Importing a Track

From a File

  1. Tap My Navigator → and tap the + button.
  2. Tap From File and browse to the GPX/KML/GeoJSON file on your device.
  3. Tap the file to import it.
  4. The track will appear in your My Tracks list.

From other apps

Overland Navigator can import tracks directly from other applications via a file export/import.

  • Komoot – Export a GPX from Komoot and import via file.
  • Wikiloc – Download a GPX from Wikiloc and import via file.
  • AllTrails – Export a GPX from AllTrails and import via file.
  • Adventure Guide - Download a GPX file onto your device, navigate
Routes imported from other apps are for personal use only and can’t be shared with other Overland Navigator users.

Exporting a Track

  1. Navigate to the My Navigator screen, find teh track you want and swipe left
  2. Tap the Share or Export button.
  3. Choose the export format (GPX, KML, GeoJSON).
  4. Choose to share via AirDrop, email, cloud storage, or another app.
Tip: GPX is the most widely compatible format for sharing tracks with other GPS apps and devices.
