Managing your subscription

Navigator All Access can be bought in three places, and where you bought it decides where you manage it. Your subscription is tied to your Overland Navigator account, so it works on every device you sign in to - but only the place you originally subscribed can change or cancel it.

Not sure which one you used? In the app, tap Settings, then Manage Subscription - it’ll ask you where you subscribed and send you to the right spot. Your email receipts are also a good clue: an Apple receipt means App Store, a Google receipt means Google Play, and a receipt from Overland Navigator or Stripe means the website.

Subscribed on an iPhone or iPad

Subscribed on an Android device

Subscribed on the website

If you signed up at via the website or via an event page, your payments are processed by Stripe, a secure payment provider used by many online businesses. We never see or store your full card details - Stripe looks after those.

Getting to your billing settings

There are two ways in, and both end up in the same place:

  • On the website - sign in at app.overlandnavigator.co.nz and open your Account page.
  • In the app - tap Settings, then Manage Subscription, and choose Stripe. This opens your account on the website, signed in automatically.

From there you can open your billing settings to:

  • Switch between monthly and yearly plans
  • Update the card you pay with
  • View and download your past invoices
  • Cancel your subscription

Cancelling

Cancel from your billing settings and you’ll keep Navigator All Access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. After that you drop back to Navigator Starter - your account, tracks, campsites and trips all stay put, you just lose access to the All Access extras. You can resubscribe at any time.

If you’re on the 7 day free trial, cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged.

Changing your card or a declined payment

If your card expires or a payment fails, update your card from your billing settings. Stripe will retry the payment automatically for a short period - if it still can’t get through, your subscription will be paused and you’ll drop back to Navigator Starter until a payment goes through.

Refunds

If something’s gone wrong with a website subscription, get in touch through Contact us in Settings (or here) and we’ll sort it out with you directly.

Refunds for App Store and Google Play subscriptions have to go through Apple or Google - see the pages linked above.

Gift subscriptions

A gift subscription is a one-off payment for a year of Navigator All Access - it doesn’t renew and there’s nothing to cancel. The recipient redeems the code from their account page on the website, and the year starts from the day they redeem it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move my subscription from the App Store or Google Play to the website (or the other way)?

Not directly. Cancel where you originally subscribed, let it run out, then subscribe again in the new place. Because you keep access until the end of the paid period, you won’t lose anything by waiting.

I’ve paid but the app still says Starter

Check you’re signed in to the same Overland Navigator account you paid with, make sure you’re online, and try Force Sync in Settings. If it’s still not showing, contact us with the email address you subscribed with.
