Gift subscriptions
A gift subscription is a year of Navigator All Access, paid for once by whoever gave it to you. It doesn’t renew and there’s nothing to cancel - the year starts on the day you redeem the code, not the day it was bought, so you can redeem it whenever you’re ready.
Want to give one? Head to overlandnavigator.co.nz/gift.
Gifts arrive one of two ways, depending on what the sender chose:
- By email - an email from Overland Navigator with the sender’s message, a coupon code, and a button that takes you straight to the redeem page with the code filled in.
- Printed or as a PDF - a gift card with the sender’s message, the coupon code, and the address to redeem it at.
The coupon code is a short string of letters and numbers. It isn’t case sensitive, so don’t worry about capitals.
Gift codes are redeemed on the website, not in the app. You’ll need an Overland Navigator account - if you don’t have one yet, you can create it as part of redeeming.
- Go to overlandnavigator.co.nz/redeem, or tap the button in your gift email.
- Login, or choose Create an account if you’re new. Either way you’ll be brought back to the redeem page once you’re signed in.
- Enter your coupon code and tap Next. (If you came from the email, it’ll already be filled in.)
- Check the gift - you’ll see who it’s from and their message - then tap Apply coupon.
- Open Overland Navigator on your phone. Navigator All Access will be unlocked on the account you just signed in with.
If the app was already open, fully close it and open it again so it picks up the change.
- Your year of All Access starts the moment you apply the code and runs for 12 months from that day.
- It’s tied to your Overland Navigator account, so it works on every device you sign in to - iPhone, Android and the website.
- There’s no renewal and nothing to cancel. When the year is up you’ll drop back to Navigator Starter - your account, tracks, campsites and trips all stay put. You can subscribe at any point if you’d like to keep All Access.
- Each code can only be used once.
That means the code has either already been used or has expired. Double-check you’ve typed it exactly as it appears on your gift - if it still won’t go through, contact us with the code and the email address the gift was sent to and we’ll sort it out.
Redeeming adds the gift as a separate one-year subscription on your account. It won’t cancel or pause an existing App Store, Google Play or website subscription, so if you already subscribe, get in touch before redeeming and we’ll work out the best way to use it.
Try these in order:
- Make sure you’re signed in to the app with the same account you used on the redeem page.
- Fully close the app and open it again.
- Tap Settings, then Force Sync.
Still showing Starter? Contact us with the email address you redeemed with.
No - gift codes are only redeemed on the website at overlandnavigator.co.nz/redeem. Once it’s applied, the app picks it up automatically.
No. A promo code gives you a discount on a subscription you’re paying for yourself, and is entered on your account page when you subscribe through the website. A gift code is a full year of All Access that’s already been paid for, and is redeemed at the address above. If a code won’t work in one place, try the other.
You can, but it’s usually simpler to just subscribe - a gift is a one-off year, whereas a subscription renews so you don’t have to think about it.
